Maddi’, alongside other duly appointed staff members, is available in-store to witness your legal documents in their official capacity. With over two decades of experience as a JP, Maddi’ ensures your important paperwork is handled correctly and professionally.
What is a Justice of the Peace?
Justices of the Peace (JPs) are volunteers appointed by the Governor of New South Wales. They are typically individuals of good stature in the community who are legally authorised to witness and sign statutory declarations, administer oaths, and certify copies of original documents. JPs come from all sections of the community and provide this service completely free of charge.
How We Can Help
You may need to book an appointment with our JP to assist with the following official tasks:
Statutory Declarations
A written statement which you declare to be true in the presence of our JP. Often required by banks, insurance companies, and superannuation providers.
Affidavits & Oaths
A written statement for use as evidence in court proceedings. You must promise you are telling the truth in the presence of our authorised witness.
Certifying Copies
We can certify that a photocopy is a true and accurate copy of an original document, saving you from submitting original birth certificates or qualifications.
Witnessing Signatures
Providing an official, authorised witness signature for a variety of legal, financial, and real estate documents.
Book Your JP Appointment
To ensure we can dedicate the appropriate time to your documents without disrupting dispensary care, our JP services are strictly by appointment only.
Please note: Appointments are subject to the availability of a JP and current work demands within the pharmacy.
