Who Should Have a Medication Review?
You may greatly benefit from a review if you take five or more daily medications, have recently been discharged from the hospital, sometimes forget to take your doses, use devices like inhalers or blood glucose monitors, or are experiencing side effects that you suspect are caused by your medicines.

In-Shop Review (MedsCheck)
A convenient, structured sit-down with our pharmacist in our private, QCPP-accredited consultation room.
- Perfect for a general medication “tune-up”.
- We will review your prescriptions, vitamins, and natural supplements.
- Learn the best times of day to take your doses for maximum effect.
- Get professional advice on using inhalers, spacers, or blood pressure monitors correctly.
- You will leave with a clear, updated “Action Plan” and a complete list of your medicines.
Home Medicines Review (HMR)
A comprehensive, fully collaborative review conducted in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
- Ideal if you have mobility issues or a highly complex medication routine.
- Requires a referral from your General Practitioner (GP).
- Our specially accredited pharmacist will visit your home to see exactly how you store and manage your daily medicines.
- We will help you clear out expired or discontinued medications safely.
- A detailed clinical report is sent directly back to your GP to help them optimise your future care.
How It Works
Getting started is simple. If you are interested in an In-Shop Review, simply give us a call or book online. We will ask you to bring all of your current medications (including vitamins and creams) in a bag to your appointment.
If you or a loved one requires a Home Medicines Review, the first step is to have a chat with your GP. Once they write a referral for Moss Vale Community Pharmacy, our accredited pharmacist will contact you to arrange a suitable time to visit.
